ABOUT BARBARA

Barbara Musser is a master healer, brilliant teacher, kind and compassionate wise woman, embodiment of the goddess, and fairy spirit. She asks provocative questions that enable people to go deeper with their own journey; loves people deeply; and sees and celebrates the Divine in everyone.

As she has journeyed through her life in search of the answer to questions about the purpose of her own life she has studied with many academic, esoteric and spiritual teachers, healers and guides. She has traveled extensively, observing and studying other cultures, and she has lived in many places.

Barbara's career has been wide ranging as she has prepared herself for her current work:

• Barbara is a senior practitioner of Core Individuation™, an emerging body of work developed by Desda Zuckerman. It is based on the principle that we each have a core of divine energy that flows through us and that we are much more than our physical bodies. We have a larger “structure” made of intelligent energy, which has an elegant and sophisticated anatomy. Assessing this structure and making anatomical adjustments results in profound transformative experiences for clients. (see www.desda.com)
• She does space clearing, a specialized form of Feng Shui, to clear and consecrate land and physical spaces in homes and work places.
• Barbara is a facilitator of the Love, Intimacy and Sexuality workshops sponsored by the Human Awareness Institute . She travels the world to lead these transformational experiential workshops. (see www.hai.org)
• She designs and facilitates many rites of passage including marriage, birth, death and a very special Mother/Daughter day to explore young women's emerging sexuality and the transition from being a maiden into a young woman.
• She facilitates the Gift and the Wound process, based on the work of Community Activators, helping people discover their unique life purpose.
• Barbara was one of the designers of the stress management portion of Dr. Dean Ornish's landmark research on reversing heart disease. She was the stress management instructor for the study, teaching yoga, meditation and visualization. She produced a series of related tapes for clients.
• She was a trainer for Challenge Days, workshops in schools which teach young people to work together to build community, to build bridges rather than walls and communication skills to be effective leaders.
• Barbara founded the Vitality Program to provide yoga therapy for people with heart disease and cancer.
• Barbara has practiced, studied and taught yoga, meditation and visualization for more than 20 years. She is a certified Integral Yoga instructor, and has also studied Iyengar and Kundalini yoga. While most yoga classes focus on the physical poses, or asanas, Barbara is also knowledgeable in several other types of yoga, including karma yoga, the path of service; bhakti yoga, the path of devotion; and jnana yoga, the path of wisdom.
• Barbara has an M.B.A. and spent many years as a corporate management consultant to Fortune 500 companies. She developed and implemented management development, corporate ethics and conflict resolution programs.

Single mother to a beautiful teenage daughter, Barbara is committed to parenting with compassion, not control. The result is an independent young woman with healthy self esteem and the skills to navigate well in the world. Parenting has ignited Barbara's passion for supporting families to nurture all family members and contribute to each family member's growth, development and transformation.
